Southern Wedding

Upcountry History Museum | Stephanie & Victor's Wedding | A Greenville, SC Wedding Photographer

I met Stephanie years ago on a summer project with Generation LINK. I so enjoyed getting to know Stephanie and I loved watching her grow in Christ that summer. So I was delighted when Stephanie contacted me about shooting her wedding day!

Stephanie's wedding day was one of the most laid back that I've shot. Stephanie and Victor chose to have a smaller wedding with no bridal party. The whole day was so relaxed and absolutely beautiful! Stephanie has a very classic, southern style and her wedding definitely reflected that! Victor is a Marine and so I also loved seeing how they incorporated the military into various parts of their wedding. A few of my favorite parts of the day were: Stephanie's prayers with her friends and with her mother/MIL (soooo sweet), Victor's dads toast and the honor he showed to the military in attendance and their significant others, the armadillo grooms cake (watch Steel Magnolias to get that one!), and the huge dance party during the reception!

Weir-Jordan House | Ginny & George's Wedding | A Greensboro, NC Wedding Photographer

Ginny and George's wedding day was GORGEOUS! As far as weddings go, I would say it was my favorite style! It was outdoors, at a historic venue, and had classy, soft, and romantic details. Ginny and George's day was also filled with fun, celebration, and so many friends and family members who clearly love them! I also loved the meaningful elements and traditions in their ceremony. Before their ceremony, they signed a Ketubah, which is a Jewish legal document that binds Ginny and George together in marriage. During their ceremony, they passed their wedding rings around and had people "warm" the rings, they said their vows under a chuppah, and at the end of the ceremony they broke glass. Ginny and George also had a very special reception! Ginny's family is very musical and so both of her parents sang and it was an amazing celebration! The reception may or may not have ended with Ginny and George being thrown into the air...I let the pictures tell the rest of the story...

Ginny and George, thank you SO much for giving me the privilege of capturing your wedding day!

Burke Manor Inn | Sally's Bridal Portraits | A Gibsonville, NC Wedding Photographer

Sally got married this past Saturday and I have literally been dying to share her bridal portraits with you for MONTHS! Her session is one of my favorites and I took them back in April so it's been pretty difficult to wait to share this whole time!

We did Sally's bridal portraits at the Burke Manor Inn in Gibsonville, NC where she had her wedding reception. The Burke Manor is an adorable little bed and breakfast with some beautiful gardens and I really enjoyed taking pictures there! Please check back soon to see their wedding pictures!
