Merrimon-Wynne House | Julia's Bridal Portraits | A Raleigh, NC Wedding Photographer

I'm so excited to share Julia's stunning bridal portrait session with you today! We took these pictures at the Merrimon-Wynne house a few months ago and I've been dying to share ever since. Here's some of my favorites from her session:

Tanglewood Park | Abbie & Brad | A Winston-Salem, NC Wedding Photographer

Today's engagement session is a very special one! During my time at Clemson, Abbie became one of my closest friends and we had the opportunity to live together for a couple of years (we were actually living together when Alex and I met and started dating!). Brad has been one of Alex's best friends for much of his life and he has become one of my good friends as well. I don't consider myself much of a matchmaker but knowing both Brad and Abbie, I really felt like that would make a good match. Alex and I introduced them and they began dating about a year ago and, clearly, it went well because their engaged to be married on August 18!!!!! I am SO overjoyed at how God has brought Abbie and Brad together and I know He will use them and their marriage for His glory. It's a wonderful thing to see two people that you love have so much joy in finding one another!

I was honored to take their engagement pictures a few weeks ago. They wanted to have their pictures taken at tanglewood park because the chapel there is actually where Abbie's parents got married! Here's a few of my favorites from their session:

Arwin's Newborn Session | An Elon, NC Family Photographer

I'm so excited to share sweet Arwin's newborn session with you today! I have really enjoyed newborn pictures, especially since having Dom, and so I was very excited when Janelle contacted me about taking newborn pictures. Here's a few of my favorites from their session:

7 Months With Dom

Well I'm just now managing to post Dom's 7 month update one week before he'll be 8 months because this is one of my busiest seasons of the year! Better late than never, right?!

Dom currently weights 16lbs 9oz and he still wears 6-9 month clothing. Dom is so much fun and it's been amazing to watch him change and grow! I feel like he changed a lot this month and has shown a lot more personality. I would say that, overall, he's a very laid back baby who seems to love people!

Dom loves:

  • This video...haha
  • His doorway jumper
  • Ice cubes (I put them into a baby food strainer)
  • Sitting with mommy and daddy on the patio
  • Bananas (but thankfully he's eaten everything I've given him...bananas still seem to be his fave though!)
  • Anything crinkly, especially plastic bags
  • Being tickled by daddy
  • When we count to five (random, I know!)

Dom doesn't love:

  • When mommy walks out of the room (he's started getting a little seperation anxiety)
  • Formula; I've needing to start supplementing some formula for breastmilk and unfortunately he has refused to drink it so far!
  • When mommy & daddy are eating and he doesn't have food
  • Being put down for a nap...he's always fighting sleep!
  • Sudden, loud noises

Firsts this month:

  • Sitting up on his own! He still falls down a lot but he started being able to completely sit up with no support this month...woo hoo!
  • This month he tried prunes and spinach for the first time and likes them all.
  • Went to the splash pad for the first time and he wasn't a big fan...I think he didn't like the cold water. I'm hoping to take him to the pool for the first time soon!

Lake O' The Woods Plantation | Staci & Jimmy's Wedding | A Raleigh, NC Wedding Photographer

Staci and Jimmy are SUCH a sweet couple and I had so much fun getting to know them during their engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and wedding! I actually met Staci and Jimmy at Kevin and Kim's wedding because they were both in the wedding party. I love when I get to photograph weddings of former bridesmaids and groomsmen!

May 19 was a very rainy day but Staci and Jimmy made the best of it and everything turned out beautifully! Their wedding venue was STUNNING and I'm so thankful the rain stopped later in the day so that we were able to get some pictures in the back field.
