Featured on Budget Savvy Bride

I'm so excited to share that Celia and Isaac's Sumter County Museum wedding is featured on The Budget Savvy Bride today! Celia and Isaac actually booked me as their photographer a few years ago shortly after I launched "DiPrima Photography" and I'm so thankful that they did! It worked out perfectly that I was still in the "portfolio building" season of my business and so I was able to fit within their wedding budget by offering them my portfolio building price. I SO appreciate the trust that they had in me from the very beginning of my business!

Celia and Isaac did an AMAZING job planning their wedding for $10,000 and they're sharing the whole budget breakdown on Budget Savvy Bride today! I loved all of the sweet details and DIY projects that were included in their wedding. It IS possible to plan a beautiful wedding on a budget!

Below are few of my favorite pictures of their day. Please visit the full post on The Budget Savvy Bride to see more!

Published in "Fab You Bliss": Vintage Carousel Inspired Styled Shoot

I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a styled shoot with several amazing vendors back in April and it's been killing me to hold off on sharing these images! Today's the day they're being published and so I finally get to share them!! Before you check out my post, be sure to visit the feature on Fab You Bliss.

Here's a description of the shoot from Amy at Plume Events:
The inspiration for this shoot came to me, as almost all of my best and most creative ideas do, in the middle of the night. I awoke with a vision of the beautiful historic carousel I used to visit as a child at a park in Raleigh, North Carolina. The carousel features detailed scrollwork and a menagerie of hand-carved wooden animals, including a lion, ostriches, rabbits, and even pigs. I knew I wanted the inspiration to be subtle, so little nods to the carousel can be found in the details planned by my vintage rental and event-planning company, Plume Events. Jenna DiPrima of DiPrima Photography and I knew we wanted the shoot to be soft, romantic, and full of light, so I used those ideas and added in the whimsy of the carousel. Some of my favorite details were the real vintage carousel ticket, the cotton candy cake topper, and the vintage animal figurines placed on soft beds of moss in glass cupcake stands at each place setting. The maypole, with its ribbon streamers and floral topper and the bridesmaids frolicking around it, was another fun way we brought the feel of the carousel to life.

The beautiful cherry blossoms, overgrown wisteria, and lush grounds of Merry Hill provided the fantastic, romantic setting, and the peacocks and mini donkeys that roam the lawn were reminiscent of the exotic animals on the carousel.

Even the pattern in the vintage chairs, the vintage china salad plates, and the custom scalloped table runner provided by Plume Events and the fun, modern take on damask in the invitations and programs designed by The Fabled Papery mimicked the intricate details of the vintage carousel.

The dapper groom and ring bearer fit right in with the vintage feel with their gray suspenders, while the bride’s modern gown and the combination of long and short bridesmaid dresses and a stylish jumpsuit in a range of pastel hues from ASOS made the fashion both fun and relevant for the bride with modern tastes. The relaxed and romantic hairstyles were styled by Wedding Hair by Liz, and the fresh, natural makeup look was created by Adriana Lopez.

For the flowers, Plume Events chose soft, feminine roses, peonies, and ranunculus and wrapped the bouquets and boutonniere in a lush dusty pink velvet ribbon. The flower arrangements were created in assorted vintage clear glass vases and containers to keep the look light and fresh."

Published in TALK Magazine | Kristin & Colin's Wedding | A Greenville, SC Wedding Photographer

Last month was a HUGE month for DiPrima Photography! I had the honor of being published in the November issue of Greenville's TALK Magazine! This is the first time I've ever seen my work published in print, and it was an amazing blessing and encouragement! It was made even better by the fact that Colin and Kristen were SUCH a sweet and wonderful couple who are so worth celebrating! In fact, if you'll remember, Kristen and Colin's wedding took place the weekend of the hurricane in South Carolina. They had to move their outdoor reception indoors and we had to work around a hurricane and major wind and rain their whole wedding day. In spite of all of that, Colin and Kristen had great attitudes and were so full of joy on their wedding day and guess what? Their pictures of some of my favorite that I've ever taken! And they were published in a magazine! It just goes to show that if you are happy and choose not to worry and stress on your wedding day, everything will be alright! And what really, truly matters is that at the end of the day, you'll be married! Future brides: my encouragement to you is to choose JOY even when unexpected or difficult things happen on your wedding day (and it seems like something unexpected always happens every wedding day)!

You can read the full story in TALK Magazine here. You can also see Kristen and Colin's wedding blog post here and Kristen's bridal portraits here.

Published | DIY Fall Bohemian Styled Shoot | A Burlington, NC Wedding Photographer

wI am so excited and honored to announce that my DIY Fall Bohemian Styled shoot is being published in Something Turquoise today! I met up with Randi Russell of Carry Your Heart Events last spring to discuss the possibility of doing my first ever styled shoot. To my delight, she jumped right on board and was more than happy to help me! I told her that knew I wanted to do something bohemian and with fall colors and she really ran with a lot of the rest of it and did an incredible job! I never imagined one styled shoot could combine so many incredible things into one setting: a beautiful bride with a handmade dress (inspired after 27 dresses!), vibrant and rich farm fresh flowers, macrame, handmade pottery, a folk band, horses, and much, much more!! Collaborating together with so many creative women and business owners really was a dream come true and I hope this styled shoot was the start of many more to come!
