The Cloth Mill at Eno River | Taylor & Josiah | A Hillsborough, NC Wedding Photographer

It was an honor to photograph Taylor & Josiah's wedding day on Saturday! Josiah grew up in the church Alex & I attended in Mebane and I have really enjoyed getting to know Taylor and Josiah over the past year throughout their engagement. Their wedding day was stunning, Christ-centered, and full of loving family and friends. You can also check out their engagement pictures here and Taylor's bridal portraits here.

Carolina Wedding Barn | Katie & Justin's Wedding | A New Bern, NC Wedding Photographer

Katie & Justin had the sweetest wedding on Saturday in the quant town of New Bern, NC! Fun fact: Nicholas Sparks lives in New Bern! Sammi and I went up the day before the wedding and stayed at a nice hotel on the river and we had a blast walking around the city. Katie and Justin's wedding day was beautiful. It threatened to rain all day but it never did and the sun even came out towards the end of the day! My favorite part of their day was the Elvis impersonator they had during their reception, I've never seen that done at a wedding before!

Weir-Jordan House | Ginny & George's Wedding | A Greensboro, NC Wedding Photographer

Ginny and George's wedding day was GORGEOUS! As far as weddings go, I would say it was my favorite style! It was outdoors, at a historic venue, and had classy, soft, and romantic details. Ginny and George's day was also filled with fun, celebration, and so many friends and family members who clearly love them! I also loved the meaningful elements and traditions in their ceremony. Before their ceremony, they signed a Ketubah, which is a Jewish legal document that binds Ginny and George together in marriage. During their ceremony, they passed their wedding rings around and had people "warm" the rings, they said their vows under a chuppah, and at the end of the ceremony they broke glass. Ginny and George also had a very special reception! Ginny's family is very musical and so both of her parents sang and it was an amazing celebration! The reception may or may not have ended with Ginny and George being thrown into the air...I let the pictures tell the rest of the story...

Ginny and George, thank you SO much for giving me the privilege of capturing your wedding day!

Sumter County Museum | Celia & Isaac's Wedding | A Sumter, SC Wedding Photographer

Celia and Isaac's wedding day was a beautiful, rustic, outdoor wedding filled with joy! I absolutely loved their venue at Sumter County Museum! Celia and her family and friends also did a great job decorating and thinking through all of the wedding details...everything was beautiful. Isaac is actually one my dear friends (Abbie) brother and so I've know the Ormond family for a while now. I really enjoyed getting to meet all of the extended family and getting to see sweet Clemson friends and one of my August 2016 couples (yay Jenna and Daniel!). I'm always so thankful for friends who are so supportive of my business and who give me the privilege of capturing their most important memories!

The forecast called for rain on Saturday but it looked likely that it would just pass through or rain in the morning before the ceremony was to begin. Thankfully, we were able to take all of the pictures we needed before the ceremony and there was no sign of rain. Just as the ceremony was beginning, it started to drizzle a little bit. A few minutes into the ceremony, it started POURING! While I've experienced rain on several wedding days, this is actually the first time I experienced pouring rain in the middle of a ceremony! Everyone grabbed their umbrellas and a man came over to Isaac and Celia and held an umbrella over them. Isaac and Celia took it all in stride and remained joyful throughout their ceremony and they didn't let the rain worry them. Thankfully, it stopped raining shortly after the ceremony was over and they were able to dance and do the rest of their reception as planned! I'm always so thankful for couples who remember that what is most important about their day is not whether or not it rains or how perfectly all the details fall into place, but rather, that at the end of the the day they'll be married!

Congratulations Isaac and Celia! I hope you're enjoying your honeymoon and that have fun reliving your day through these pictures!

Island House Wedding | Lauren & Sudeep | A Charleston, SC Wedding Photographer

Lauren and Sudeep had an amazing wedding day! As I mentioned in their engagement session post, Lauren is one of my very close friends and so it was extra special for me to be able to capture their day. The morning started with the girls getting ready at one of Lauren’s friend’s homes in Charleston. They live on the marsh and their backyard is gorgeous! I really enjoyed taking pictures of the details, the girls getting ready, and the bridesmaids there. After that we headed over to the Island house on John’s Island. The Island house has an absolutely stunning view and sits right on the water!

Right before we were about to do Lauren and Sudeep’s first look, it started pouring rain. We held off and thankfully after about 45 minutes we were able to do their first look. Even with the change and schedule, Lauren and Sudeep had great attitudes and stayed very flexible! In fact, one of my favorite parts of their day was their first look. Right after seeing Lauren for the first time, Sudeep asked her if she'd like to pray together. It was so encouraging to me that one of the first things Lauren and Sudeep did together on their wedding day was pray! What a beautiful way to enter into marriage together!

Lauren and Sudeep had a beautiful, Christ-centered wedding day. They also had guests travel from farther away than any wedding I’ve ever photographed! Sudeep had family there that traveled from London, South Africa, and other distant locations! I really enjoyed how Lauren and Sudeep tied Indian customs into their wedding day with henna, a special shawl and tying a minnu on Lauren during the ceremony.

Their day ended with one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen followed by a very unique glow stick exit on a boat. Lauren and Sudeep, I hope you had an absolutely amazing time on your honeymoon to your secret location!!
